Hey Weekly Sitreps Readers!
Hope everyone has a had a great week. There has been a ton of national security and economic news (Houthi Group Chat Signal Leak, B2s in Guam, Tariffs). For this weekly sitrep I wanted to chat about a couple of things.
The first is that I want to give a brief update on how our defense tech and private equity recruiting business is doing, the second is I want to talk about the practical of impact on tariffs on the company that my business partner works for. We also have job postings and a wrap up of our Salt Lake Sitreps meetup. Followers ranged from dudes who ETSd last Thursday to Vietnam vets. We love seeing the community come together and look forward to more meetups around the US soon!
Q1 Job Search and Recruiting Wrap-up
We have had a blockbuster Q1 in our job search and defense tech recruiting business. As of this date, we have placed over 20 veterans into high paying defense tech and private equity operations roles!
We continue to gain momentum in our business with a small team, and we are extremely grateful for the trust our clients and partners continue to put in us.
This quarter we will re-launch our newly revamped website, start our military to MBA application bootcamps with Leland (more on that below) and continue hosting fireside chats. Our next one is resume 101 and that is scheduled for the end of April. I’ll be pushing out the registration for that soon.
In the meantime, if you are looking to hire veteran talent, please connect with us at kyle@sitreps2steercos.com, wyatt@sitreps2sttercos.com or max@sitreps2steercos.com.

Leland + Sitreps Military to MBA Application Bootcamp
BLUF: we’ve worked with Leland and their team of admissions experts, former adcoms, and vet coaches to make a live MBA admissions Bootcamp! Early bird registration available at the link at the bottom through March 31
We talk a lot about how veterans need to consider MBAs as a pivot. Deciding to do it is huge, but only half the battle.
GMAT/GRE, Resume, Essays, random one sentence questions, interviews…
You’ve got several pieces all requiring extensive thought and detailed coordination. And as a veteran you’re surrounded by other veterans who have no clue how to make sense of any of it.
For a long time the only resources available to veterans were outrageously overpriced coaching services and volunteers with extremely limited bandwidth. John Koelliker and his team at Leland have given veterans a resource that fills the canyon in between with real expert advice at a price that reflects the value that advice provides.
We’ve worked together with Leland for the last several months to craft a LIVE boot camp specifically for veteran admits that gives in depth advice from adcoms, veteran and civilian graduates of top MBA programs, and the Sitreps2Steercos team.
📅From April 30 - May 21
🎤Hosted by Sitreps2Steercos founders Wyatt Frasier and Kyle Eberly
💡 7 LIVE sessions with MBA Admissions Experts

Tariffs - What The Impact Looks Like On A Small Business
I’m writing this on a flight to Eastern Europe to meet with a supplier we've spent the past two years building an exclusive partnership with. Their product has become a key differentiator in our service offering—one of the reasons we win over competitors. We would’ve preferred to make this arrangement with a U.S.-based firm, but no such company exists. Even the American companies selling similar products are simply importing from China, Eastern Europe, or other countries now also hit with tariffs.
Our relationship with this partner is essential to both our futures. Thankfully, they see it the same way. We're aligned in wanting to share the burden of this new 20% tariff, and that’s why I’m on this plane—to show good faith and negotiate new pricing in person.
